Questions before working with RKS?

Here are the things businesses most commonly want to know about services, pricing, projects, monthly support and what happens once you get in touch.

Can’t find your question?

You do not need to know exactly what service you need before getting in touch.

Ask a question

Working with RKS

The practical questions about who I work with and how projects usually begin.

What type of businesses does RKS work with?
RKS is designed mainly for growing businesses that need practical support across marketing, e-commerce, systems, data or digital growth. That can include established SMEs, owner-managed businesses, e-commerce brands and organisations that need specialist support without building a large internal team.
Do I need to know which service I need?
No. In many cases it is better to start with the problem rather than choosing a service first. Tell me what you are trying to improve and I can help work out what type of support makes sense.
Can RKS work alongside our existing team or suppliers?
Yes. RKS can work alongside internal marketing teams, developers, agencies, freelancers and other suppliers. The aim is to fill the gaps you actually have rather than replace people who are already doing useful work.
Do you only work with local businesses?
No. Most strategy, analysis, digital marketing and systems work can be delivered remotely. Where a project benefits from being on site, that can be discussed separately.
Is RKS an agency?
RKS operates more like a consultancy and delivery partner. The focus is on understanding the commercial problem first, then using the right mix of strategy, implementation and ongoing support to solve it.

Pricing

How pricing works across fixed-price offers, projects and monthly support.

Why are some services fixed price and others monthly?
Some pieces of work have a clear beginning and end, so a fixed project price makes more sense. Ongoing services such as marketing management, social media, e-commerce support or regular analysis are better suited to monthly packages.
Are the prices on the website final?
Where a package has a fixed price, that is the standard price for the scope shown. Where a package says "from", the final price depends on the size and complexity of the project. Scope and cost are agreed before work begins.
Why does RKS use packages instead of hourly pricing?
Packages make it clearer what you are buying and what RKS is responsible for. It also keeps the focus on the work and outcome rather than asking you to calculate how many hours you can afford.
Can you still quote for bespoke work?
Yes. Not every project fits neatly into a standard package. Bespoke work can be scoped around the actual requirements once I understand what needs to be delivered.
Are third-party costs included?
Not unless they are specifically included in the agreed scope. Advertising spend, software subscriptions, professional photography, printing, influencer fees and other third-party costs are normally separate.

One-off projects

For businesses that need a specific piece of work without committing to ongoing support.

Can I use RKS for a one-off project?
Yes. One-off work can include audits, campaigns, system projects, e-commerce improvements, reporting setup, strategy work and other clearly defined projects.
What happens before a bespoke project starts?
I first understand the problem, users, systems and expected outcome. From there I can define the scope, what is included, the cost and any assumptions before you commit to the work.
Can a one-off project become ongoing support later?
Yes. That is often the most sensible route. A project can solve the immediate issue first, then ongoing support can be added later if the business needs continued management or optimisation.
Do you offer small projects?
Yes, provided the work is useful and clearly scoped. The Growth Sprint is also designed as a lower-cost entry point for businesses that need help identifying the most important opportunity before commissioning a larger project.

Monthly support

How the ongoing service packages work.

What does a monthly package actually mean?
It means RKS takes responsibility for an agreed area of work each month. The exact activity is defined by the package and the commercial priorities agreed with you.
Is monthly support unlimited?
No. The package covers the agreed level of responsibility, deliverables and support. Large additional projects or work outside the agreed scope are discussed separately before anything extra is started.
Can the monthly priorities change?
Yes. The point of ongoing support is to respond to what the business actually needs. Priorities can move as performance, campaigns, opportunities and wider business needs change.
Do I need to sign a long contract?
The exact terms are agreed before work starts and may vary depending on the service. Some areas benefit from being given enough time to establish, implement and measure properly, so that will be explained clearly before you commit.
Can I move between packages later?
Yes. If the level of support needed changes, the package can be reviewed rather than keeping the business on a level that no longer makes sense.

Services

Questions about how the different RKS services overlap and work together.

Can a project involve more than one RKS service?
Yes. Many business problems cross several areas. A lead generation project might involve marketing strategy, landing pages, CRM automation and reporting. The work can be structured around the outcome rather than forcing each part into a separate project.
What is the difference between Marketing and Social Media?
Marketing is the wider commercial strategy covering areas such as positioning, lead generation, campaigns, email, SEO, customer journeys and reporting. Social Media focuses specifically on planning, creating, publishing and improving activity across social channels.
What is the difference between Data Analysis and System Development?
Data Analysis is about understanding the information the business already has and turning it into useful insight, reports and forecasts. System Development focuses on the tools, workflows, portals, automations and integrations used to run the business.
Can RKS build websites?
Yes. Website work can sit within marketing, e-commerce or system development depending on the purpose of the site. Larger builds are normally scoped as bespoke projects.
Can RKS help with marketplaces such as Amazon?
Yes. Marketplace support can form part of the E-Commerce service and may include listing optimisation, channel strategy, reporting, commercial analysis and growth planning.

Timelines and delivery

What to expect once a piece of work is agreed.

How quickly can a project start?
It depends on current workload and the type of project. Once I understand what you need, I can give you a realistic start date rather than promising a turnaround that cannot be delivered properly.
How long do projects take?
That depends on the scope. A focused audit or strategy project is very different from building a bespoke system or restructuring an e-commerce operation. The expected timeline is agreed as part of the scope before work starts.
Will I need to provide information or access?
Usually, yes. Depending on the project, that may include platform access, data, brand materials, existing reports, website details or information about current processes. I will explain what is needed before the work begins.
Do you provide updates during the work?
Yes. The level of communication depends on the project, but you should always know what is happening, what is waiting on you and what the next step is.
What happens if the scope changes?
If something genuinely new is added to the project, I will explain the impact on scope, price or timing before carrying out the additional work.

After you enquire

What happens once you send a message or choose a package on one of the service pages.

What happens when I submit an enquiry?
I review what you have sent, look at the service or package you are interested in and then come back to you with the most sensible next step.
Does submitting a package enquiry commit me to paying?
No. Choosing a package on the website sends an enquiry. It does not create a contract or take payment. We first confirm the requirements and whether the package is the right fit.
What if you think I have chosen the wrong package?
I will tell you. I would rather recommend a smaller or different piece of work than put you into a package that does not solve the actual problem.
Will I receive a proposal before larger work starts?
For bespoke or more substantial work, yes. The scope, cost, responsibilities and expected outcome are agreed before development or delivery begins.
